On the Land Day at Mount Pelly (Friday, September 7, 2012)
On Friday, September 7th the entire school went by bus to Mount Pelly for the day. The brisk, windy morning didn't stop anyone from having a great time. Students and staff participated in activities like fishing, hiking, berry picking, and sports.
When the weather seemed too chilly, we were able to warm up inside one of the tents and enjoy some hot chocolate, tea, coffee, hot dogs and fresh bannok--koana to Maybel and Annie who were busy cooking inside the tents!
In the afternoon the weather warmed up and the sun came out! Overall, it was a wonderful day spent on the land.

Eurotrip 2013
Patti Bligh and a number of dedicated grade 10 and 11 students are currently planning a trip to Europe. The Eurotrip is scheduled to happen this school year in the spring of 2013. The students are running a Friday Morning cafe to help fundraise for the trip. The cafe is appropriately named "Cafe Europa" and happens at Kiilinik High School's canteen every Friday from 8:00-8:30am. Stop by and enjoy some yummy treats and delicious coffee while supporting the students involved with the Kiilinik High Eurotrip 2013.
Ontario-Nunavut Student Exchange (2010-11)
During the 2010-2011 school year, a group of Kiilinik High's seniors participated in an inter-provincial exchange.
A group of senior high students from Stratford, Ontario came up to Cambridge Bay to experience the great white north. The Stratford students participated in a variety of cultural activities with their student counter parts in the north. Some of these activities included a caribou hunt, drum dancing, carving, and preparing a community feast.
After the visit to Cambridge Bay, our students from Kiilinik High headed south to visit Stratford, Ontario. In Stratford, both groups of students participated in activities like: a farm visit, a trip to the movie theatre, visiting the CN tower and other tourist attractions in Toronto.
Overall. the exchange was a success and even found it's way into an article in Canadian Living Magazine!
