About Kiilinik High School
Kiilinik High School is one of two public schools located in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. The school has a population of approximately 200 students and provides education from grades 7 to 12.
The school building is used for both educational and community based activities. Many community groups use the gym facility throughout the week and weekends for organized sports and recreation. The May Hakongak Public Library and Kitikmeot Heritage Society are also located within the building.
The school is built with an open concept feeling that reflects both the space and the learning taking place inside. Throughout the building, one can see many tributes to the Inuit culture and sense the positive and spirited school learning environment.
Many of the classrooms contain state of the art learning technologies such as SMART Boards, Macbook Pro laptops and Apple Desktops. The school is also home to a fully equipped wood working shop, art room and kitchen.
